Over The Years
Launched the first fine art wedding blog in Canada
"Satin & Snow" started as a wedding inspo and vendor guide for Ottawa couples and became an international award-winning wedding guide. It got super popular fast.
Became Ottawa's hottest wedding planning company
After many requests through our blog, we officially started offering wedding planning and design services. Our team, budgets and services grew exponentially from this point.
Opened our first event boutique & studio
We were the most sought-after wedding planners in the city, so we used that momentum to open an event decor & gift boutique in Westboro which also served as our studio. But we outgrew it fast!
Rebranded, got a warehouse and expanded our services
Satin & Snow became Frid Events. We moved to a huge, beautiful warehouse and started doing everything for events: planning, design, coordination, florals, rentals and stationery.
A new era begins
After a wild post-Covid season, Brittany officially retires wedding planning & coordination services to focus exclusively on event design. Frid Events evolves into a home-based Ottawa studio specializing in florals, décor, and elevated event aesthetics, while Brittany continues travelling the world in unconventional ways and fostering cats along the way.

As the NAC’s preferred partner, Brittany leads the florals, décor and stationery design and production for weddings and events throughout the venue, bringing elevated style, seamless execution, and unforgettable atmosphere to one of Ottawa’s most iconic spaces.
