Now this is my idea of a perfect engagement session. Annah and Adam are a beautiful couple whose chemistry is obvious. Each individual picture is simplicity at its best. Beautiful lighting, no props, simple outfits, and love love love… these are incredibly beautiful images.
About Annah
Annah is a gifted education teacher of PreK-6th grade for Chantilly Montessori in Charlotte. She absolutely loves being with children so she feels incredibly blessed to be able to fulfill her passion on a daily basis. When she isn’t teaching, you can find her making and checking off lists, planning (anything of any sort), doing hot yoga, cheering on the Steelers, or playing with her dog, LeBeau.
About Adam
Adam is a financial analyst for Bank of America in Charlotte. He loves anything that involves the financial markets so watching his Bloomberg terminal each day isn’t work at all for him. When he isn’t “working”, he is usually playing chess, shooting, killing zombies, listening to the blues, drinking whole milk, or doing squats.
How They Met
It was a Saturday evening in September. Adam had just flown back to Charlotte after visiting The University of Texas at Austin as a potential graduate school. He and some of his buddies from Elon University decided to meet up at Adam’s favorite blues bars, The Double Door Inn, to hear a band from college play….
Meanwhile, Annah had decided to spend that particular Saturday evening with her best friend, Darcy, for a night out. Both girls had attended Elon together and decided to it would be fun to go listen to their old college band play. It was there that Annah and Adam met and realized, not only did they attend the same college, but they were in the same graduating class, had mutual friends, and both liked to go shooting. They went on their first date soon after that and the rest was history….
How They Got Engaged
It began 5 months before Adam actually proposed. He had been trying to figure out how to plan an engagement around all of Annah’s plans, but it seemed that each time he had an idea Annah, of course, already had something planned for that day. An exhausted Adam finally decided the only way he could actually pull a surprise proposal off would be to do it during the week when Annah would least expect it…
Annah headed home after work that evening looking forward to having a night in with Adam. When she walked inside the house she noticed their dog, LeBeau, was running around in a home-made tuxedo, cummerbund and all. She didn’t think any of it other than it was a cute, romantic gesture. Adam was pre-occupied with the buttering steaks and casually asked her to get the wine out of the fridge and open it for them. She could only find a bottle of champagne in a box so she was confused when it was not “wine” but opened it anyways…only to find a gorgeous, custom-made ring tied to the bottle. Annah was so stunned that she could only manage to say, “Is this real??” as Adam got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage. They celebrated that evening by having a delicious steak dinner, calling friends and family to share the news (although Annah’s family didn’t answer the phone for several hours), and having a drink and cigar at the wine bar where they had their first date.
