If you have been following Satin & Snowflakes for a little while, you have probably noticed that all of the calligraphy featured on the blog isn’t your standard run-of-the-mill, fancy-schmancy curly-cue calligraphy. I love typography and hand-lettering, and the modernization of the lettering over the last 5 years has been incredible. The new styles that have and continue to surface are fascinating and original in a time where originality is slowing becoming obsolete. If you are interested in seeing more amazing, modern and jaw-droppingly beautiful calligraphy, visit these famous calligraphers’ s sites: Mara Zepeda, Meagan Tidwell and Betsy Dunlap‘s in the world.
When I was researching calligraphers for my own logo and for the re-design of Satin & Snowflakes launching in August (whoops, did I just let that slip?), I found this gem, and now one of my all time faves. Alissa Mazzenga, calligrapher and artist, owner of Feast Fine Art & Calligraphy. What do you think?
