I know I am waaay behind here, but I just discovered Jen Huang, film photographer, and I have been on her website for about four hours now. I can’t get over how soft, feminine and dreamy all of her images are. This is one of my favourites – the stylist in me is squealing with delight right now. This is what Jen wrote about the shoot on her blog, which is filled with so many more inspiring, beautiful weddings, engagements and styled shoots… you’ll get lost in them all.
As always, I am inspired by art, and this time by the simple, understated dutch farm still life paintings of the 18th century… This shoot was produced for my recent Santa Barbara Beginner’s Photography Workshop. Laura & Brian modelled as our lovely bride and groom. Laura wore a shimmering and flowing Temperley gown (which you can purchase on NearlyNewlyWed.com). Her soft up-do and swoon-worthy makeup was done by 1011Makeup.com. Brian wore a suit from his own collection. Watercolor & wooden invitations were hand written & painted by DearJendo.com. The florals and tabletop flowers were delicately arranged by SarahWinward.com. Delicious sugar flower leaves were hand made by LaelCakes.com (Vegan & Gluten Free!) and flown in from New York City. Tabletop rentals & impeccable styling by BorrowedBlu.com. A private Santa Barbara riviera home was the backdrop to this beautiful day! Extra thanks toGreyLikesWeddings.com for publishing this shoot and for speaking at the workshop, RichardPhotoLab.com for expert film processing, Kodak.com for stunning Kodak film (Portra 400 & 800), and NeveAlbums.com for the fine art printing present in all aspects of the workshop. What a fantastic day with the loveliest attendees, speakers and artists… Care to join the next one? New 2013 workshops will be announced shortly!
