Sometimes, my job as editor here can be really hard. Like when awesome photographers, such as A Brit & A Blonde seen here, send submissions that are so full of amazing, jaw-dropping shots that I really don’t know how to narrow them down!
My cheeks are sore from smiling at all the pictures from this gorgeous modern wedding in Toronto, Ontario. This couple looks absolutely retro chic, fun, and completely unique. The combination of the retro hairstyle and make-up on the bride, along with the ultra-suave, clean shaven groom fitted with old-school glasses, a sharp tux and fantastic yellow socks, all juxtaposed to a modern city scene complete with graffiti, a trip on a public bus, and a warehouse-style venue… it all just looks so fun and colourful. I kinda wish I had been there!
If you love this wedding as much as I do, you’ll be excited to hear that A Brit & A Blonde are now on the Preferred Vendors List! Welcome on board guys!!
More from A Brit & A Blonde:
This wedding is the definition of city cool. We are talking bespoke tuxedo, ah-maze Caroline Herrera wedding dress, pops of yellow and an adorbs pup with a bow tie. I heart this wedding a lot. Jason & Yaryna are a super fun couple and have an impeccable design aesthetic. The groom is a graphic designer and well he looks pretty darn awesome in his bespoke tuxedo. Yaryna looked beyond amazing in a drop dead gorgeously perfect dress from Caroline Herrera. Her oh-so-bang on hair and that perfect red pout were the perfect accessories. Thanks to uber rad hair/makeup genius Lucky Bromhead (who also does makeup for MTV Canada). She even parked her sweet baby blue Vespa outside where we could not resist taking some snaps with the bride. The couple adore their big city of Toronto – so dressed to the nines, they opted to wait for the streetcar and take public transit to their wedding. We kinda dig them for that. The pops of yellow with the balloons, the bridesmaids shoes, the fun “yeah” sticks, the groom’s socks and even their beloved dog’s bowtie added that sense of “je ne sais quoi”. The Burroughes Building was where they held their ceremony and reception for about 90 guests. The exposed brick wall and industrial feel was the perfect choice for this city loving couple. Right in the heart of their city.
